Take me out to the ballgame,
Take me out to the crowd;
Just buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don’t care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the home team
If they don’t win, it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,
At the old ball game.
The spectacular fireworks shows hosted by our queen city’s minor baseball league has been a hidden gem. But ever since the stadium relocated to Uptown, traffic and parking make me hesitant to head to a game. With the end of summer creeping up upon us, Bubble and I braced ourselves and bought tickets. 🙂
The stadium location offer an unbeatable skyline view of uptown. It is gorgeous from any angle. 🙂
We walked around the whole stadium. Plenty of concession options to fill our hunger and thirst. I was a rebel and ordered a Chick-fil-a sandwich! 🙂
Despite Panther’s Fan Fest coincided with tonight’s game, stadium was flooded with fans. We made our ways to the Home Run Porch. Kids stood glove up and ready to catch the next foul ball. With the ball speeding at 80-90 mph, I would rather the ball doesn’t fly our way.
Side story: I am puzzled by the number of innings. I believe it should be called 18 innings since each team has to bat. Bubble disagreed. Guess I should listen to ex-baseball player.
The Knights won! 🙂
Hands down, the fireworks had to be the best part of the night. Kaleidoscopic explosions lit up the sky. The grand display left us speechless. 🙂 Perfect summer date night with Bubble. 🙂
